Our mission is simple: to invest directly back into our village. We will organise engaging community events and raise vital funds to support local initiatives charities and organisations to ensure South Cerney continues to thrive for generations to come.

What an incredible year it has been for our villages! Thanks to the fantastic turnout and support from everyone in South Cerney, we are thrilled to announce that an amazing ยฃ๐ฎ๐ฌ,๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ has been raised for our community grant fund. This staggering total is double what weโve achieved in previous years, and none of it would have been possible without the dedication of our community, who contributed over ๐ญ,๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ผ๐น๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ต๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ to make the weekend a reality!It wasnโt just the central grant fund that saw success. Numerous other local stalls, charities, and independent groups also had success raising money for their own fantastic causes during the event.๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฏ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ปWith ยฃ20,000 available, we are excited to announce that these funds have now been allocated based on the fantastic applications we received! These grants enable our voluntary groups to expand or enhance their service to the local community, supporting initiatives that make our villages an even better place to live and thrive.๐๐บ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐ก๐ผ๐๐ฒ: To qualify, these grants were strictly awarded to community groups, local clubs, charities, and individuals undertaking community-focused projects. Commercial businesses were not eligible.๐๐ผ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ ๐ช๐ถ๐น๐น ๐ ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐ฎ ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒWondering what these grants will actually pay for? Here is exactly how this year's allocated funding will be used to support incredible organizations across our villages:๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ & ๐๐ถ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐๐: We will be funding a new grass mower for the Cricket Club, team shirts for the Stragglers, a new perimeter fence for the Cerney Lakes Tennis Club, an irrigation system and gazebo for the Bowls Club, clubhouse recladding for the Football Club, and new equipment for the Badminton Club. We will also be helping the Evo Running Club train a new female leader to keep their sessions running smoothly.๐ฌ๐ผ๐๐๐ต & ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป: Grants will cover camp costs for the Brownies and Guides and provide a new sun and rain shade for the Playgroup. We will also support the PTA with a willow weaving session and funding for a teaching assistant to train as an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant.๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ & ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐: Vital funds will go toward the upkeep of historical community buildings for All Hallows Church and the South Cerney Village Hall. We will also cover hall hire for the Cafรฉ Society and fund major improvements for the Scouts, including door repairs, acoustic panels, and fresh paint.๐ช๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ถ๐ป๐ด & ๐ฆ๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐: We are proud to be providing Tesco food spend cards for the South Cotswolds Food Bank, subsidizing places on a mindfulness course for the Phoenix Trust, and contributing toward the ongoing charity funding for Cutts.๐ฆ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ & ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ป๐๐ผ๐น๐๐ฒ๐ฑ!Don't forget to mark your calendars for next year's event. As this was the first weekend organised by the newly formed charity, Cerney Community Collective, we are incredibly proud to have celebrated the unique spirit and strength of our village community.
